  Food is good although fried foods are often overcooked, like the catfish and gator. When we go with a larger group we always get seated in the back, problem with that is the waitress we always always get. She is slow, food takes forever and arrives cold, and drinks are messed up. Case in point, a couple of months ago we attended Friday Night Thunder and our friends beat us to be seated and ordered drinks. We came in a few minutes later and shortly thereafter the drinks were brought. The waitress insisted my husband ordered a sweet tea, which we don't drink for starters, and weren't even there when the order was placed. But nobody else had ordered one either! Then all through the meal she accused my husband of changing his mind starting when he ordered by saying "now don't change your mind this time." It was all very rude and we did not leave a tip.
  We will go back to stumpknochers and ask to sit elsewhere, but if we get that waitress we will insist on another.

  Waited 45 minutes for our meal, which consisted of a salad and cold shrimp. When we told our waitress that we had to leave our meal miraculously appeared. They offered us free desserts but since we are diabetic we had to decline. No offer to discount the bill.

  The food is amazing and the portions are huge! The service has always been friendly. This is one of our favorite places and is well worth the hour + drive for us!
